I have a dream

I have a dream. A dream that I never want to tell anyone cause I used to think everyone is going to laugh at me.
But come to think of it now, it's not funny after all. It's my dream. :)
For those who knew me in person, you might never expect this.
But here it is, I'm spitting it out :P
My dream is to surf.. I want to go to South Africa for the summer just to learn how to surf. I've never had a chance to actually learn how to surf when I was younger. Wave back home ain't big enough for surfing. I'm turning 22 soon. I know it might be a bit late to learn how to surf, but nothing is too late if you really want it.
I love the sun and the ocean. Just came back from Napa a month ago and I've already want to go back again. Actually don't mind working there for the summer. But well I have to come back to the reality after all. Got a job in an interior design company as an intern and doing a project for an ocean villa in Jamaica. Actually made me want to go back even more.
You might be wondering, why South Africa? Well, I always wanted to go there. I want to get to know that place, get to explore it. I knew there are lots of nice beaches and bays over there. Love the culture too! I know when it comes to surfing everyone will think of Australia, California etc.. But I just want to go South Africa.
I'm not those kind of person that is willing to sit in the office from 9-5. I'm a free spirit. I might sound too young to actually say this. Who knows what will happen in 5 years time. I might be a mum of 3 kids. But that is not I really want :S I wish I'm far far away from where I am now, perhaps travel to many places that I can't finish telling all the stories in one night?
I live my life once, I really want to make full use of it before it ends.
I know people always say, work hard and earn more money and you get to do what you want after. What if I worked really hard and only get slightly wealthy when i was in my 40? can I still learn how to surf? I doubt so.
I know it's too early to actually say anything. But it's a dream, and I never give up !
Hopefully I'll be able to learn how to surf end of this year. South Africa here I come :)

Hey peeps I'm back

Again been MIA for ages. Sorry about that. Been really really busy with uni and teaching stuff.
Well it's my final semester so I really have to be committed. But well, still not committed enough :P

What more else can I say, I'm in London !! And I love it here :P

Used to stick with my laptop all night in FB, Twitter and blogs. But now, I barely touch them, awww I felt soooo old. But I will try to catch up. Missed out lots of stuff back home. :(

Hohoho~ Christmas is around the corner

I know my blog is almost dead, pardon me with the lack mojo and the stress I have for my uni work. I will try to update my blog more often. I WILL TRYYY !

Been busy with the uni work, like seriously busy as christmas is around the corner and the 2 competition are due after xmas. I do not want to spend my xmas holidays with my uni work T_T Have to get them done beforehand !! ISH~ The annoying dissertation is also due after xmas too.. god bless !

What I've been up to? Finding houses, lol~ We thought we could find a house and have our own frosty and roast turkey, but apparently it's not gonna happen. Most of the houses were taken :( We called like 20 agents and ALL OF THEM WERE GONE.. FML ! I just hope we get a house before xmas so I can decorate the xmas tree, hang my socks at the fire place (if they have one), make my own Frosty the snowman and of course SNOW BALL FIGHT !! hohoho~ *dream on me*

Obviously, london has changed me. I'm one size bigger from what I used to be. And errrr, I have dark hair now (gone my lovely haircolor) and with no fringe. Unbelievable? It's true. I cannot believe them myself :P But screw it, couldn't be bothered.

My best entertainment now is hang out in the kitchen.. LOL. Playing UNO, Monopoly and enjoying our home made drinks. :D I really had fun although it sounds lame. That's the only thing we can do when all of us are bored staying in this so-called-jail-room !

Class was canceled today due to harsh weather. Good in a way, I have a day off :P But insted of spending this day doing uni work, I went to Westfield with my babe Elena and finally got myself a pair of boots. hoho :P I'm starting to feel xmas with all the lights and deco, last but not least the SONGS !

I hope everybody is not going anywhere during xmas or else I'll be effing boring here... !! Someone please come up with some plans !~ I'm serious :)

Oh ya, I've stopped the latin class. :( sad case I know. But I really do not have the extra time and travel all the way there just to have 2 hours class. I love it and I really want to . But it's really time consuming travel all the way there. Hope I'll find some place nearer, any suggestion? :)

The Monopoly night

I was supposed to do my dissertation tonight. But I ended up playing Monopoly with the roomies..  =.=

Well, even though I didn't do anything, we had fun chatting and CRAPPING. Finally, we are getting along and this flat look more ALIVE.. thank god ~

Hang in there

Yay~! I'm finally a smart phone user. Just got my Iphone 4 today and frankly, I don't really know how to use it.. :P As you know, I'm not a gadget person, and I don't really fancy them. The reason why I need this Smart phone is because we need to access to internet all the time during class and uhm, I can't be running down to the library just to surf something every single time. Well, call it an excuse if you want. :x

Things have been really really hard for me this week. Grrrrr or should I say since I came to London. Everything I do just doesn't work the way I want. Things have been really really hard for me. But I'm still here, hanging there. Trying my very best to struggle to the top and make sure I don't fall. Be tough~

It's getting colder and colder. I hate cold weather ! I used to sleep at 26 degree when I was back in Malaysia ( call me psycho, I just can't stand the cold ). I don't know how am I going to survive during the winter. But I have to =.=The weather turned dark so early, it's all dark during 4pm, soooo depressing. It makes me think that it's time to sleep. And it makes me feel so lazy and sleepy ALL THE TIME !

My lily flower is growing... yeeeeepeeeee~ the whole room is so dead, so I got myself a plant. Hopefully I won't kill it :D

Somebody, please come and visit me :P I'm so busy but I want to explore more about London, and I need a companion... someone, please?

Work hard for what you want

Went with a flu and turned out to be a fool.

Things have never been easy for me. Who doesn't feel the same?
I guess everybody have the same thoughts.
It's just depends on how you see things, whether it is in a positive or negative way.
But whatever it is, I don't believe in miracle (yea I just don't).
So I will never make myself believe that there will be a miracle when I screwed things up, how sad is that. lol
I need to learn, to know that things won't just come by your door step. They won't wait for you.
If you missed it, you are screwed :P
So whenever, where ever and whatever you are doing, DO YOUR BEST. You won't know when the chance will come. :)
Work hard for what you want~ I always say this. Sibeh kolot but it works.

It's been almost 2 months.

Wooooosh~ Time flies. It's been almost 2 months since I've been to London. If you ask me how is my life here, I'll say "I'm fine". That explains all huh? I guess so. :p

Been really lazy to update my blog, I'm sorry. I promise I'll keep you guys update :D

Started my job training already. Hmm, kinda nervous though. Teaching is never that easy after all. Applying what you know on your assignment is totally different from teaching. We have to aware about the bully issue, the child abuse issue and also the different standard of understanding among them. But it will be definitely be interesting. Still cannot imagine myself wearing formal and working in my placement.. :D Waiting for the second job training though, hope it doesn't clash with my timetable..

I'm back to dancing again. It's always great to get back to dance. I just feel so relax and happy whenever I'm dancing. It's not like I'm born with the talent, but I believe when you really like something, you work hard for it. :) Been to the team tryouts, didn't really get in cause I don't know ballroom dance..sigh~ *disappointed* But they found me someone and we are having another tryout this Wednesday, hope it works *finger crossed* But the height is really an issue for me. I'm way too short.. Hmmmm, height is never a problem when I was in Malaysia though. lol

Halloween is coming soon :p Going to get some costumes tomorrow, hopefully. Trick or treat :P

Went to the cinema in London yesterday, my very first time. But I still prefer cinema in Malaysia. They are a lot cheaper and the cinema are way better than the one here. :p But anyway, it's always a first time. :) Looking forward to the SAW 3D though... wuuuuuhoooo~

The weather makes me feel sleepy

I'm so lazy to blog. The weather is making me sleep more and more, EAT MORE AND MORE :( I never feel full , never satisfied after any meal. Probably because of the weather.. sigh~ And yea, I can't get rid of junk food *ahem ahem* although I promised someone to stop and take them once a week? But I'm taking them everyday? I'm so dead. -.-

Starting to get myself back on track with all the researches, course works etc etc. And also finding myself a flat to move out. Hmmmm~ But it's kinda hard to find some place nice and cheap, it's LONDON :(

Have no time to do my Latin tryouts. But I will try to attend their classes this Wednesday. I seriously need to sweat !~ And since I brought my shoes here, I can't be putting them aside and collect dust. kekeke :D

Homesick? Not at all :p haha. I talked to my dad via FB everday and I crapped with Bel all the time. But I miss my baby Poco though. He can't Skype nor chatting with me online. But my dad does update me from time to time. Hope he will remember me when I go back. :)

Halloween is coming, then Christmas. Yay~ But of course my birthday comes first. I don't have the exciting feelings that I used to have back then. Maybe because my friends and family is not here with me and it could be because they have already thrown me a surprise party before I came. :D But I definitely will do something on my birthday.. haha

I've been doing the housework everyday, unbelievable isn't it. Cause this freaking place is just full of dust, even though I cleaned it daily. And due to my sinus problem, I have to. Carpet flooring throughout is never a place for me, hate it ! I'm so going to be another Annabel - the clean freak. Maybe when I go back, I don't need a maid anymore... Sorry Maria :P

My hair is getting longer and longer, I have to trim myself every week. EVERY WEEK!!  I used to trim only 2 weeks once in Malaysia. The weather is making my hair grows! Okay, I'm blaming everything to the weather now XD So I decided to keep everything long, the fringe too. Bah~ I know short fringe suites me more. But I couldn't be bothered to trim every effing week.

It's Monday, and I should be heading to the library. I'm just too lazy to get out. Someone come and visit me please.. haha :) That's it for now, I'm going to clean my bathroom now... muahahaha..

Mexican Dinner with Margaritas..

I know it's been awhile since I update my blog. Been busy you know, with the dissertation, getting around and of course the tons of course work. It wasn't as bad as the first week since I came here. It's getting better, I'm starting to love this place (I mean London not the area I stay). lol~

How I wish I could find a place and move out now. :( Hope Marie could find a place at her area for me.. *finger crossed* teeeeheeee~

Back on the track

 

Hi peeps, sorry it's been a busy week after class started. I will try my best to blog as much as I could to keep you guys update :)

It's been a week and I've already have tons of coursework. Everything came together and I guess I'm going to have my brain stuck. The coursework are interesting but of course it's "heavy". By heavy I mean lots of research, thinking, brain-storming etc.

But I do have some interesting coursework that I really longed for it. I took up an elective module for Advanced Computer Design. We are going to learn Advanced Vray and 3D Studio Max.. which are really great :D and our first project will be designing our own 3D Model. :) But speaking of which, we are not allowed to grab 3D Model and drop it to a scene or space ( not like what we used to do in Pratique). Here, we have to draw everything by ourselves, from tiny little screw to the whole architecture building or even a car. And we have to know about the mechanism of each and every furniture we are using. This is pretty scary but exciting. I can imagine myself slamming my keyboard already. But I am looking forward to it. :)

We have another course which is Branding and Presentation, which I think is very important for all designer out there. Branding is really important. Presentation too. :p In this modules, we need to create storyboard,video, and lot's of photography. Interesting isn't it?

What's killing me is the dissertation. 5000 words. This will require a lot of research. Grammar, spelling and vocabulary have to be super good. Primary and secondary sources :| Never knew design course will need to do dissertation. But I will do whatever it takes to get good grades :) 

We have internships too.. which is really good :) We get to choose to continue working here after we graduate or go back to our country. really good experience though.

What excites me most is the competitions. We are joining 2 competitions and these are a really good chance to expose ourselves in the Design field. This is where people can spot your talent and is a place where you can exhibit your work. Most of our seniors got into good firm from these competition. So I consider myself very lucky to get the chance to join :)

That's it for now, you must be scratching your head cause you don't know anything I'm talking about. Don't mind me, I'm just getting too excited when it comes to my course. :)

Kooi Bee came to overnight at my place and we had fun in Camden. Though the weather is bad, but we still manage to get to places. It's really nice to see her again after a year :) haha

It's been raining cats and dogs almost everyday here. Probably that means winter is coming very soon :D

This is the last weekend before class starts. I guess by then I will be back in track like I used to be. Busy with coursework, rushing here and there. sigh~ Hope it won't be too busy for the first month. :(

Have an interview for a job tomorrow too. Finger crossed for it.. :D *good luck*

Where are all the party people?

First attempt to twist my fringe up. My hair is a messed now. No time to trim it myself :(

Yesterday was the International Students Party. Went out with Marie during the afternoon and hung around Oxford Street. Couldn't really find what we were supposed to find. Awwww~ Wanted to buy every single things we see but we knew we can't :p

Went back to dress up and left to The Rocket. The party was supposed to start at 7pm but we went there at 8pm and the party wasn't started yet. The place wasn't really hard to find. We found it once we saw the whole crowd outside the club. Waited for almost an hour outside and I was freezing queue-ing there. damn~

We thought it will be fun and happening. But FML, it wasn't. Not at all. The music was bad, the atmosphere was even worse. Most of the people just stuck with their own group. And we were there wandering around drinking. =.= Really really boring, no kidding. Where is the DJ? Where are the hitz music? Why is he singing and who is he?????? 

Well, no offense. He wasn't that bad, I just prefer the original singer, that's it. Left quite early and we swear the next one will be a lot better than this.. hahahaha. But luckily Marie was there with me, else I'll be rotting in there alone.. :p

Been enjoying all the food I cooked myself. But I'm starting to get bored. Cannot think of any other food to cook anymore. So I prepared myself a very rich breakfast : Scramble eggs, toast, and Smoothie.. Hmmm~

Then went out to get some art materials. Gosh~ I'm super super regret I didn't bring all my stuff here. The art shop our lecturer recommends us is very huge, they are like a one stop art shop, they have everything you need. But the price is way too high compare to Msia. I wonder if I should ask dad to send me all my stuff from Malaysia, but I guess it will be costly and who knows my things will reach here damaged. Hmmmph~

Then, went to Spitalfield Market for Lunch. The weather is pretty cooling, not as cold as the past few days. But a cup of coffee will definitely help :) Most of the restaurants are in long queue, maybe it's because too many office buildings nearby.

I'm starting to paint again. Been ages since I touched my watercolor. have to practice my skills. XD What should I paint then? Eiffel tower? The view outside my window? The tower bridge?? Hmmmm~ Any idea?

I LOVE my course

Went for the first session in Uni today. Not many people showed up. I guess not everyone are like us showing up an hour earlier =.= Most of them must have been in the 2nd of 3rd year. But still, it was around 30 people there.

Our class are mainly in the studio /workshop. So it's a lot better. The studio is huge and it really looks like a design studio. A bit messy here and there with all the boards, student artwork etc etc, but that is what you called a STUDIO :) A place where the inspiration and innovation will come to you.

Most of the students that showed up are in their fresh year for BA. And apparently, I'm the only Asian. Some of them are quite old too. Probably around 3x or 4x. There are a few who came back after their gap year. But only 3 students in the final year showed up =.= Includes me. :p

Ms K briefed us about the course and modules. I was so excited listening to every bits of them. I thought my course will be only doing plain Interior Design. But guess what, we will learn about Photography, a little of Illustration, Fashion and Textiles design, new technology that are being applied in Architecture/construction/material, landscape design, Branding, Graphic and packaging Design, and last but not least. Architecture !!!!! weeee~ Ms K also told us, who said ID can only work in a space, we can do architecture here too. of course not those tall tall building. So so so excited and couldn't wait for my class to start.. Another thing, they want us to shoot a video and post it up in Youtube, yay I get to learn podcasting and filming.. :p

According to the lecturer. We will not be staying in the studio most of the time. We will go sight seeing around London. Get to know the famous building and visit the museums. They even asked us to go to high fashion street, to check out all the fashion stores, the decorations, the interiors, the branding and how they attract customers.

They also asked us to go to see all the christmas window decoration when xmas is about to come. :) Can't wait~ So so so excited now. hahaha. Oh ya, they even have 2 laser cut machines in school.. weee~ and the lecturer also introduced us to sme art and design warehouse where we can get whatever we want there. I didn't bring most of my stuffs... grrrrrr have to buy them again.. OMG I only brought my marker and scale ruler.. I don't know why scale ruler, maybe I cannot work without them?

Class will only start next week. But the lecturer have already gave us 2 places to visit before next Tuesday. Hmmmm. Better get my study mood back and throw the slacky queen away.:p

Came back around 6pm and most of the stores were closed. So I can only cook whatever I could find from the fridge. O.O Way too hungry, and some of the foods are going to expire.

It was freezing cold today, as usual. But I finally got myself a jacket. weeeeee~

Oh man, been spending a lot since I moved in to London and my stupid dorm. have to tied my tummy with a belt next week onwards.. XD

And of course, eating like a King =.= Definitely gaining tons of weight. 

Munching strawberry toast now. Not really satisfied from the weird dinner just now. I miss my Poco :( Saw a Miniature Pintcher outside my dorm.. awwwwww~ Hope he is happy there. TSM please don't scold Poco :P and please don't call him stupid, please play with him once in awhile too XD

I miss dad, I miss Bel, I miss Poco, I miss Maria, I miss my bed (the bed is too soft =.=), but I'm not homesick. Just been awhile since I last talked to them. When they are free, I'm out. When I'm back they are sleeping like a pig. Sigh~ So boring. Complain again :D

The enrollment :)

Went to the international enrollment at the University. Not many people though, maybe they went there early cause I only go there around 2pm. I thought they were supposed to go according to the surname, but apparently all of them just anyhow go. So did I, mine was supposed to be 330pm but I went at 2pm. I reached there at 130pm so I went sightseeing again, this time, I walked across the Tower Bridge. So awesome :D

Then, I went to Starbucks, because it was so damn cold and I'm only wearing my blazer =.= I seriously need to get one jacket. haha XD While I was queue-ing for my coffee, MAX LOOI prank call me. I'm not sure if that is what he meant to do at first, but well he succeeded. He sounds soooooo CHINESE (you know what I mean). He was asking me something and I just go :"huh? huh? huh?". STUPID !!! If you see this, you will get it from me when I see you. And please come and find me with Wai Leong, so effing boring :((((((

Met 2 really nice girl during the enrollment, one is from Taiwan who holds a spouse visa in UK and another girl from Norway. Nice to meet you guys :)

I'm going to the International students party this thursday with her, hope its a blast one !

I then stopped by at the Camden Market and felt so in love with it. So many things to see, so little time again =.= It was so packed and I was rushing home. So I decided to go tomorrow, with Autumn, my roommate :) Yeeeepeee~

Oh ya, and I was stuck outside my room :( Cause normally I don't need key to get in if I didn't lock it. Cause it is like the hotel key card system. And how in the world I would know that they will have auto locking system? Yea, that's why, me with no jacket waited quite some time for the authorities to open the door.. FML
